10-year-old Kurzhaar

In early 2025, my 10-year-old male Kurzhaar’s mild limp began to worsen. Initial attempts at treatment by the vets were aimed at treating symptoms of arthritis and joint inflammation, but were unsuccessful.

In May 2025, he had an x-ray taken, which showed significant thinning of the bone in the paw in question, as well as a bone malformation. The vet was over 99% convinced that it is osteosarcoma and immediately suggested a biopsy and amputation. The blood test results were excellent and, apart from the limp, the dog seemed healthy.

The news and the thought of the little time we had left together scared me a lot, but my intuition told me that he could do it without surgery and heavy chemotherapy. I looked for information about the diagnosis and came across K9 products.

Initially, I ordered K9 INUExtra®, and every day I observed slight improvements. Then the dog started taking K9 Immunity™, again a significant improvement and a return of strength to the dog, who, together with the hot summer weather, was having difficulty moving. Without interrupting the intake of K9 supplements, we also tried K9 Immunity Plus™.

Now, at the end of August 2025, the dog is active and full of energy again, with an excellent appetite and desire for walks. The swelling began to reduce slightly, and he shows no signs of pain or suffering. The dog does not take any medications, only nutritional supplements for bones and joints.

Never lose hope. Listen to your Veterinarian, respect the diagnosis, and try to understand what our pets’ bodies want to tell us.

Don’t get me wrong – my father was a veterinarian, and somehow I’m sure that if he were here, he would have chosen the alternative way, without going all out with surgery or radiation.
